BPM Console
BPM Console is an admin app for monitoring and operating deployed BPMN 2.0 business processes. Review process definitions, instances and incidents; start, suspend, resume and cancel; handle incidents; and deploy or migrate.
Admin only (adminOnly) / singleton.
Opening it
Open BPM Console from the menu.
Layout
- Sidebar (left) — tree of process definitions (filterable)
- Center — Diagram view / XML view of the selected definition (zoom in / out / fit)
- Bottom list — tabs for Instances / User Tasks / Incidents
- Details (right) — metadata and actions for the selected definition, instance, task or incident
Key tasks
Start a process
Select a definition and start a new instance. Enter a business key (optional) and variables, then start.
Monitor & control instances
From the instance list, review state (Active / Suspended / Ended) and incident counts. Select to suspend, activate or cancel (with an optional reason). You can also see running activities on the diagram.
Handle user tasks
From the User Tasks tab, assign, unassign and complete tasks. You can edit variables when completing.
Resolve incidents
In the Incidents tab, review failed jobs and retry (set the retry count), resolve incidents, or edit annotations. Batch retries are supported.
Deploy & migrate
Use Deploy BPMN to register a new definition from a file. Use Migrate Instances to move running instances to a newer version, previewing mappings and options before running.
Tips
- Hold Refresh for 1.5s to toggle live tail (auto-follow).
- The details panel shows instance variables and an incident's error message and stack trace.
